3 1 day ago Full Job Description DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Psych Aide II assists Social Services staff with data collection (PSA, Treatment Planning, Discharge Planning) under the direction of the MSW.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Utilizes effective crisis intervention techniques.
Positive verbal /nonverbal behaviors are consistently displayed as observed by staff, patients, and visitors.
Provides direct contact with each assigned patient to monitor responses to services & identify problem areas.
Provides physical, emotional &/or cognitive patient care in an appropriate, safe manner.
Communicates concerns in a professional non-judgmental manner, responds appropriately by utilizing the chain of command.
Identifies and initiates resolutions to concerns from physician, patients, and visitors.
Conducts educational and diversionary groups as directed by Nursing, Social Services, and Activity Therapy staff.
Demonstrates ability to conduct environment and patient safety duties (i.
e.
- room inspections, patient search, belonging searches, monitor visitors for contraband).
Communicates abnormal variances of physical data (vital signs, pain, etc.
) / emotional &/or cognitive data (tearful, hallucinating, etc.
) to appropriate staff.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Social Service Field 3 yrs working with Psychiatric Services will substitute for educational preferences.
This exception will be considered depending upon the performance evaluation scores received during those years.
Crisis Response Training, CPR.
Ability to communicate with patient, family, peers and medical personnel.
Requires emotional stability and resilience.
Must be adaptable to change, be decisive, and demonstrate foresight.
Exhibits organizational and leadership ability.
Shows ability to gain & maintain support and respect of co-workers.
Physical Demands/Work Environment Work requires a variety of physical activities including standing and walking for long periods of time, bending, stooping, and lifting.
The work environment may be physically confining.
Visual acuity is required for a variety of specific activities.
Must have normal hearing or utilize adaptive hearing devices if duties require listening with a stethoscope to discern breath sounds, heart sounds, and bowel sounds.
Ability to do shift work as required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
