3 1 day ago Full Job Description DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Biomedical Technician II performs preventive maintenance on clinical equipment and other sophisticated electronic systems within the hospital.
When assigned, will perform electronic safety inspections and other activities pertinent to accreditation and/or licensure.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Test, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment.
Research part numbers, prices, and vendor information.
Maintain an adequate inventory or spare parts/ spare equipment.
Accurately documents preventive and corrective maintenance work completed.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Associates degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Information Technology or related field is required.
Military Biomedical Equipment or related field training.
Four years of on-the-job training; 2-3 years of experience in servicing hospital medical equipment.
Willing to pursue CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician within 12 months) Ability to communicate with patient, family, peers and medical personnel.
Familiar with basic healthcare software and systems.
Basic mathematical skills.
Advanced computer skills.
Must be able to apply good judgment with making decisions; Have advanced prioritization skills.
Physical Demands/Work Environment Capable of performing light to medium duty physical tasks.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
The work environment may be physically confining.
Must be able to work in sensitive patient care environments.
Must be able to exchange accurate information with patients, family, peers and medical personnel.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
