Laborer duties and responsibilities Responsibilities are all geared toward maintaining a clean, safe and efficient worksite while also supporting overall operations.
The list of duties and responsibilities for a laborer on any given day may include the following:
Physical work to support daily operations.
Cleaning and preparing work areas.
Loading and unloading materials, tools, or equipment.
Assembling items per instruction Following instructions from supervisors.
Assisting skilled craftsmen in their duties.
Stamina and endurance:
Able to perform very physical job activities, laborers have to conduct strenuous and physically demanding tasks for long hours and in extreme environmental conditions.
Strength:
The lifting duties involved in the job of a laborer often require lifting and carrying weights in excess of 50 pounds.
High School diploma or GED is preferred.
Committed to worksite safety.
Capable and willing to pass a drug test.
Attendance and punctuality is a must.
