For Less Complex Projects:
Ensure the proper tracking and receiving of tools which includes the coding and delivery of tools. This position also involves issue resolution with management and vendors, determining proper inventory levels, investigating complaints, coordinating inspections and delivering cost estimates to management.
Prepare tool tracking system requisitions from field purchase order requisitions.
Physically receive tools and consumables from the warehouse and ensure all items received match the issue and delivery ticket.
Receive materials into tool tracking system.
Ensure all tools are bar-coded prior to leaving the warehouse and arrange for tool room delivery.
Investigate delivery, issue ticket discrepancies. Convey discrepancies to management and ensure issues are resolved in appropriate tracking systems prior to invoicing.
Return discrepant items to the vendor utilizing internal return processes, also ensuring correct items are delivered.
Review and resolve all back order issues through report review, following up with vendor until orders are received.
Ensure all current and new employees are correctly and accurately entered into tool tracking system.
Keep management, supervisors and warehouse updated on purchase order status.
Participate and assist with Tool Roll ups.
Work with management to establish Min/Max inventory levels to ensure adequate inventory supply as well as re-order triggers are established and regularly maintained.
Review inventory reports and submit to management with (FPR) bringing inventory to recommended, established min/max levels.
Based on demand periodically review established min max levels with management and adjust when necessary.
Elevate non conforming issues with tools and consumables to management and assist to correct.
Coordinate inspections for routine repair work, supplies, off site repairs while reporting safety and other repair needs to venders and site. Facilitate necessary repairs ensuring repairs are made and repair records retained.
Investigate tool complaints and needs for remedy.
Review and submit for approval tool repair costs.
Assist with the preparation of budget estimates for tool tracking system operations.
Work with tool management to limit and communicate any project damages and associated costs.
Assist with the coordination of craft training opportunities.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service while always focusing on safety initiatives related to Tools & consumable supplies.
College degree, technical degree or undergraduate degree with construction management and or tool and consumable equivalent experience. 0-3 years experience in related field.
